Here are the top stories today in Lower East Side-Chinatown:
- A pair of robbers are wanted for attacking a man inside a Chinatown store and stealing cash. One of the suspects told the 59-year-old victim that he had a gun and demanded money from him at the Division Street business at around 4:50 p.m. on March 14. The duo then stole $400 from the cash register before fleeing westbound on Division Street. (WPIX 11 New York)
- Major Eric Adams joined Ukrainian Consulate General Oleksii Holubov in a ceremonial flag raising in a show of support for Ukraine. Hundreds of Ukrainian New Yorkers gathered in Bowling Green for the ceremony, where they were promised that the two flags would be flown side by side until the war ended. Holubov proudly declared the flag would fly not only until the war ended, but until Ukraine was victorious. (AMNY)
- The New Museum on Bowery was painted with an enormous graffiti tag overnight. The black, red, and white tag spelling "ACER" stands six floors above street level. (Bowery Boogie)
