New East Village Bar Will Have Candied-Bacon Quinoa Sushi on the Menu

The four-story, '70s-inspired venue that offers the sushi appetizer is coming in mid-August.

A new bar opening in the East Village in mid-August will serve candied-bacon quinoa sushi. And salmon poke bowls with cucumber-seaweed salad. And Long Island Iced Teas. On tap.

It's called VNYL House of Cocktail on 100 Third Ave. between 12th and 13th streets, and it's going to be four floors of '70s-inspired delight. It will have its own bar, restaurant and record store, and the sizes of appetizers will be inspired by the small, medium and large sizes of vinyl, New York Magazine reported.

The candied-bacon quinoa sushi sounds like an experience in and of itself, even if it was pretty much nonexistent in the real '70s.
