Man Arrested After Molesting 8-Year-Old Girl, Police Say
Police say the man sexually abused an 8-year-old on the Lower East Side last month.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — Police have arrested a man who they say sexually abused an 8-year-old girl on the Lower East Side last month.
Authorities arrested Daniel Young this week and charged him with sex abuse and acting in a manner injurious to a child almost a month after he is suspected of groping the little girl, the NYPD said in a statement. Young, 30, approached approached the girl in the courtyard of a building near Essex and Broome streets at 7:40 p.m. on June 3, police said. The man tried to talk to the girl before grabbing her "genital area over her clothes," according to authorities. (Want more local news? Last month, police sent out a photo and video of Young, which showed him wearing a Hillary Clinton T-shirt in surveillance footage.

Patch was not immediately able to contact Young's attorney on Thursday morning. His bail is set at $100,000 cash or bond.
