Man Dies After Stabbing At Lower East Side Park: NYPD

Police say no arrests have been made after the stabbing at the park Saturday afternoon.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — A man died after being stabbed in the chest at a Lower East Side park Saturday afternoon, the NYPD said.

Police responded to an assault inside the park at 215 Chrystie Street around 2:15 p.m.

The victim, a 23-year-old man identified as Arturo Valdez, was found with a stab wound to his chest, police said.

He was transported to Beth Israel Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Police say 70-year-old Larry Fullewellen has been charged with murder in the stabbing.
