NYPD Seeks Suspect In Lower East Side Attempted Rape: Police
Police are looking for a man who they say tried to rape a women on the Lower East Side on Friday.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — The man wanted in Friday's attempted rape is also a suspect in the string of robberies targeting women in the neighborhood, according to police.
Police say Robert Adams is a suspect in the alleged March 3 attack near the intersection of Norfolk and Rivington streets. According to the police account, Adams is suspected of following a women to her home at about 12:20 a.m., shoving her through her door and groping her. Adams tried to remove the women's clothing but fled when she resisted, according to police. The New York Daily News reported that the woman identified Adams, 41, in a photo array.

The Daily News also reported that Adams is a suspect in the four February robberies targeting Asian women in the area.
