Tool Thieves Steal From Vehicle Parked In Lower East Side, NYPD Says

The vehicle robbed in the Lower East Side had $698 worth of tools stolen, said police.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — The police are on the lookout for two men wanted in connection with burglarizing a commercial vehicle that was parked outside a discount store on Thursday, according to the NYPD.

The suspects allegedly broke the glass window of the passenger side with a brick and once inside they stole an assortment of tools worth $698 and fled. There were no injuries sustained at the crime scene, police said.

The vehicle was parked at 83 Allen St. some time before 4:26 a.m., which was when the crime was reported.

The police want the public’s assistance in identifying the men from the surveillance photos and surveillance video attached.

Both men are described as approximately 30 to 45 in age with dark complexion, said the NYPD.

The unidentified individuals are described as males, approximately 30 to 45 years of age, with dark skin complexion.
