Here are the top stories in Lower East Side-Chinatown today:

  1. The iconic Lower East Side eatery Russ & Daughters will be the subject of a new scripted television series. Fourth generation co-owners Niki Russ Federman and Josh Russ Tupper have agreed to a deal with Time Magazine's entertainment studio and will serve as consulting producers on the project. It is unknown at this time when filming for the series will begin. (Eater NY)
  2. A winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold at a Lower Manhattan convenience store. The second-place ticket was purchased at Smoke Gift & Convenience at 342 Canal St. The March 30 Powerball winning numbers were 3, 7, 21, 31, 37, and Power Ball number 11. (AMNY)
  3. Adam Himebauch, one of the "most provocative artists of his time," was recently honored with a New York City Art Historic Site. The plaque at the foot of 2 Orchard St. marks the contemporary of Andy Warhol's former residence. Himebauch is also the subject of an upcoming documentary that hopes to honor his legacy.
