Teenager Attacked With Padlock On The Lower East Side, Police Say
A 19-year-old needed stitches after a man threw a metal padlock at his head last week, police said.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — Police are searching for a man who attacked a teenager waiting for a bus with a metal padlock last week, authorities said.
The man, who police have not identified, approached the teenager as he waited for the bus near Allen and Grand streets at about 3:20 p.m. on Aug. 24, an NYPD spokesman told Patch. The assailant threw a metal padlock at the back of the teenager's head, cutting it open, authorities said. The 19-year-old was transported to the hospital and received three stitches to mend the wound, the spokesman said.
