1 Dead, 2 Hospitalized After Crash Sunday In Lynbrook: Nassau Police
It took place on Sunrise Highway.
LYNBROOK, NY — Two connected collisions caused the death of one person and left two others critically injured Sunday morning, Nassau police reported.
According to the preliminary investigation, a 70-year-old Uber driver in a 2018 Nissan Sentra with a passenger was westbound on Sunrise Highway at 10:47 a.m. when he struck a westbound 2012 Audi near the intersection of Atlantic Avenue.
As a result, the Audi collided with a 2011 Freightliner Party bus. The Nissan driver was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. His passenger, a 26-year-old man, was hospitalized in critical condition, police said.

The Audi driver was also hospitalized in critical condition. The Freightliner operator refused medical attention, police said.
