2 Arrested for Selling Alcohol to a Minor in West Hempstead

Nassau County Police and the Hempstead Police Department said they have arrested 10 individuals Wednesday during a “Project 21” initiative, which targets the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products to minors.

Out of the 10 arrests Wednesday, two of the them occurred in West Hempstead, with the other eight in Hempstead, according to police.

Police said that defendant Issa Masoud, 46, of East Meadow, sold alcohol to a minor from OK Petroleum at 151 Hempstead Ave. West Hempstead. 

Defendant Brigitte Yao, 37, of Elmont sold alcohol to a minor from the Hess Gas Station at 435 Hempstead Tpke. in West Hempstead, according to police.

The arrests were made with the assistance of an underaged agent, police said.
