2 Men Accused Of Placing Skimming Device At Bank's ATM: Police
Pavel Olewski and Andrei Stefan were charged with multiple counts of unlawful possession of a skimmer device, police said.
FRANKLIN SQUARE, NY —Two men were arrested over the weekend after a skimming device was spotted at the Ridgewood Savings Bank on Hempstead Turnpike, police said.
A person contacted 911 on Saturday evening to alert police that two men were placing a skimming device on the bank's ATM, authorities said.
Following an investigation using the description of the men from the 911 caller, Pavel Olewski, 30, and Andrei Stefan, 36, were arrested.

It was determined that Stefan placed the skimming device on five additional dates at the Ridgewood Savings Bank in June. Stefan also placed a skimming device at a Ridgewood Savings on Bellmore Avenue in Bellmore on June 9, police said.
Olewski placed a skimming device at the Franklin Square location on three additional dates in June with Stefan, police said.

Stefan is charged with seven counts of second-degree unlawful possession of a skimmer device. Olewski is charged with four counts of second-degree unlawful possession of a skimmer device.
Both defendants were expected to be arraigned on Sunday.
