82-Year-Old In Critical Condition After Thursday Night Crash: Police

The woman's car crashed into another vehicle on Nassau Boulevard, police say.

WEST HEMPSTEAD, NY. — Two senior-aged women and a 28-year-old man were hospitalized Thursday night after the Honda carrying the seniors struck the man’s Mazda, police said.

The accident took place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday as the cars traveled opposite ways on Nassau Boulevard in West Hempstead, Nassau County police said. The 82-year-old woman driving the Honda was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition, police said, while the 70-year-old woman who was in the car with her and the 28-year-old man were hospitalized for evaluation and treatment.

Police did not report any arrests or charges related to the crash.
