Traffic is piling up after police closed two eastbound lanes.
Traffic is snarled on the Southern State right now as crews work to remove cars after a crash Wednesday afternoon.
Two lanes of the eastbound parkway are closed near exit 17 in Malverne.
Police did not say what caused the accident or if anyone was injured. Drivers should use an alternate route.
