LYNBROOK, NY — A woman was killed in a car accident Sunday evening in Lynbrook, police said.

The 71-year-old victim was struck by a 2019 Cadillac XT5 while walking across Sunrise Highway at Broadway, authorities said.

The woman was pronounced dead at a local hospital, police said.
