LYNBROOK, NY. — South shore commuters will be able to put some pep in their step in the new year thanks to a new coffee establishment opposite the Lynbrook Long Island Railroad Station, Coffee Lobby.

Realtors announced the deal Monday morning that would see Coffee Lobby move into the mixed use building located at 1 Langdon Place, occupying an 1,800-square-foot space on its ground floor.

According to Justin Breslin, the realtor who negotiated for the Coffee Lobby lease on behalf of the building owners, the Coffee Lobby will open early in 2026. Breslin told Patch Monday afternoon that he didn’t expect the building to open before year-end, but said it would be a high-end coffee experience for visitors once it did.

“The addition of The Coffee Lobby at The Langdon further enhances the property’s vision as a vibrant hub for both residents and visitors in Lynbrook’s growing downtown district, and we are proud to welcome them,” Breslin said.

The Coffee Lobby is the latest property of Peter Kambitsis, the restauranteur who owns and operates Surgarberry Bakery, Pappa Gallo and Mojo, all in Rockville Centre.

“Kambitsis’ latest venture will serve premium coffee, pastries, and light fare in a warm, community-focused environment with indoor seating as well as a modern outdoor dining patio in the warmer months,” Breslin Realty said in a news release.

The cafe will take root in a building that houses over 200 residential apartments, featuring covered parking, a landscaped courtyard and a rooftop terrace. The station it borders is frequented by trains traveling from Long Beach and Babylon in the east to Grand Central, Jamaica and Penn Station in the west.
