GSNC Elects Lynbrook Resident to 2023-2025 Board of Directors

Garden City, NY (MAY 2023)— Girl Scouts of Nassau County announced today that Lynbrook resident Patricia Mercer has been elected to serve on the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Board of Directors through 2025. Mercer was one of 17 board members sworn in during the organization’s 58th Annual Meeting, which was held at the Ruth S. Harley University Center on the Adelphi University campus. The Girl Scouts of Nassau County Board of Directors comprises lifelong Girl Scouts, community leaders, and nonprofit and corporative executives who provide leadership, innovation and constant support to the Girl Scouts of Nassau County council.

The Girl Scouts of Nassau County board of directors provide strategic leadership and work collaboratively to build courage, confidence, and character in Nassau County girls. They will also help raise vital funds to expand access to Girl Scout experiences that socially, academically and emotionally empower girls throughout our community.

This is Patricia Mercer’s first time joining the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Board of Directors. She is the founder of PM Consulting. Her most recent role was the EVP of Barrymore Brands where she managed several brand partnerships and oversaw the expansion of Beautiful by Drew Barrymore at Walmart. She is a results-driven brand specialist with over 20 years of wholesale manufacturing, marketing and brand agency experience. She has developed and executed award-winning strategies for major consumer product programs at retail. She has considerable proficiency in business development and client relationship management. And with a natural propensity for making sense out of chaos— optimizing team structure, implementing processes and operations, and aligning leaders toward the same goal—Patricia offers 360-degree business solutions for organizational success. Patricia is passionate about setting up the next generation with tools for self-actualization and building community.
