- Who's ready for Halloween? Back by popular demand, The Dees' Haunted House has returned for Halloween 2013. Read more here.
- The Community Presbyterian Church in Malverne has begun a "six week discussion of spirituality and relationships." The marriage class is held every Tuesday night from 6:30 - 8:00 through November 15.
- LI Women's Roller Derby is looking for skaters! No experience is necessary and they will train. A meet, greet and sign up will be held this week at Buffalo Wild Wings on Rt 110 in Farmingdale.
- National Wholesale Liquidators of West Hempstead is hosting a Halloween Safety and Fun event, featuring a pumpkin painting contest, for kids on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event features free fingerprint kits along with reflective strips and safety instructions to parents promoting child safety.
