MALVERNE-LYNBROOK, NY — After two years of cancellations and modifications, residents in cities and counties across the country are looking forward to many of the traditional Independence Day activities that mark the summer holiday. July 4 is tomorrow, so there’s still time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

4th of July Festivities

What: Fireworks
Where: Long Beach
When: Friday, July 8th (approximately 9:10 p.m.)

The holiday barrage will be seen along the boardwalk and beachfront. Expect intermittent lane closures and heavy delays in the area of Broadway and Long Beach Boulevard.

The rain date is Sat., July 9.


What: Fireworks Spectacular
Where: Jones Beach Central Mall
When: July 4th at 9:30 p.m.

Fireworks matching with patriotic music will create a colorful display above the shores of Jones Beach to celebrate the country's 246th birthday. Free parking will be available starting at 5:30 p.m.


What: Rockville Centre Fireworks and Concert
Where: Pette and Barasch Fields
When: Sat., July 9 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Rain date is Sun., July 10.

The South Shore Symphony performs starting at 7:45 p.m. and will include music during the Grucci fireworks show.

The fireworks display will be shot off from Lister Field. There will be no parking at Lister and Tighe Field.
