LI Pizza Chef Competes For $10,000 On Food Network

FRANKLIN SQUARE, NY — A pizza chef from Franklin Square will show off his skills on Food Network's "Chopped."

Rob Cervoni, 35, can be seen twirling dough at Taglio in Mineola, is going against three pizza chefs on the March 28 episode.

"Long Island pizza is its own scene," Cervoni told Newsday. "We get overlooked because we're so close to Brooklyn and Manhattan."

Cervoni competes for a $10,000 prize.
