Nassau Women Team Up To Raise Money For Breast Cancer Foundation
The two women and their businesses, To Tie-Dye For Clothing and Bedazzled By Sky, are selling special pink masks and lanyards.

NASSAU COUNTY, NY — Two local women who started businesses during the pandemic have teamed up to raise money for a Long Island foundation dedicated to educating women and girls about breast cancer prevention.
With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Marion Schwaner and Skylar Blake teamed up to raise money for The Maurer Foundation, a Long Island non-profit that works to educate people about breast cancer, and focuses on early detection and risk reduction.
Schwaner, 26, of Lynbrook, founded To Tie-Dye For Clothing in the spring after she was laid off from her previous job in March. Blake, 22, a nursing student from East Rockaway, founded Bedazzled By Sky in the spring as well. And now they're working together.

Schwaner is tie-dying special pink masks for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Blake is making mask lanyards to go with them. There are three different options to choose from. They are being sold for $35 for adults and $25 for kids, and $5 from every purchase will be donated to The Maurer Foundation.
You can place an order by clicking either link above and messaging the companies on Facebook.

"Our main goal is to increase awareness of a local breast cancer charity, The Maurer Foundation, and give back to the community, specifically those who have struggled or who are struggling with breast cancer and their families, especially during the pandemic," said Schwaner.
