Lynbrook High School senior Erica DeMichiel has been awarded $2,000 for her essay about learning and majoring in a foreign language.
This award was from the Morris and Eve Brown Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation that seeks to reward high school seniors for excellence in language skills.
Erica wrote the essay in her 5H Italian class. This is the second time that a Lynbrook High School student of Italian has been honored with this prestigious award.
