Lynbrook Resident, Longtime Newsday Editorial Writer, Dies
Jim Lynn, who retired from Newsday in 2002, was 88.

LYNBROOK, NY — Jim Lynn, a Lynbrook resident and former editorial board writer for Newsday, died last week, the newspaper said.
Lynn, 88, died of heart failure due to COVID-19 during a short hospital stay, Newsday said.
After college, he moved to New York. In 1972, Lynn joined Newsday and remain there for the next 30 years.

James Klurfeld, the former editorial page editor, recalled to Newsday that Lynn was a "terrific editor, a very careful fine, fine editor who always improved your writing."
A memorial is planned later this year, Newsday said.
