Lynbrook Budget Passes; Deninno, Yaker, and Paskoff Make BOE

Voters have decided on the proposed 2015-16 budget.

Lynbrook School District residents voted Tuesday to approve the school district’s $79.37 million proposed budget 1,125-355 votes.

The budget includes a 2.78 percent increase in spending over the current year and carries a 1.68 percent tax levy increase.

Lesli Deninno, David Yaker, and Robert Paskoff were elected to the Lynbrook Board of Education. Incumbent Robert Paskoff earned 774 votes, incumbent Sean Strife earned 740, Lesli Deninno earned 994, Renee Gaughran earned 772, and David Yaker earned 971.

All three propositions passed and included the use of a technology replacement fund, a renovation and improvement of facilities fund, and the establishment of a building renovation, improvement, upgrade, and equipment fund.
