Lynbrook Sends 94 Students to Music Festival

Lynbrook had 94 students between fifth and 12th grade selected to perform at the Nassau Music Educators Association’s All-County Festival on the weekends of Jan. 10 and Jan. 17.

They were invited to join a select group of musicians from all over Nassau for a gala concert series at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, featuring select chorus, orchestra, band and jazz ensemble performances. Each year, the most talented student-musicians are chosen for these ensembles, based primarily on their performance scores at the New York State School Music Association Solo Evaluation Festival.

“This is an honor for our talented student musicians and our exceptional music staff,” said Joseph Pallotta, the district’s director of fine and performing arts. “I would like to extend my thanks to the Board of Education, the administrative staff and the Lynbrook community for their ongoing support of our music program.”
