LYNBROOK, NY — Starbucks workers in Lynbrook have taken the next step toward unionizing.

Employees at the shop on 839 Sunrise Highway filed a petition stating their intent to unionize. The National Labor Relations Board will give workers an election date.

“Going public is a really big step for me and my store. We have experienced a lot of bad together and still somehow been able to perform together as a team. Being able to unionize is something momentous and I can’t wait till we’re able to fight to get the support we deserve," Lynbrook employee Ana Salazar said.
