Lynbrook Village and Malverne School Board Meetings, Fire Prevention Week

Check out some events taking place in town this week and if you see we've missed something, add it to the boards.

• The Village of Lynbrook holds a meeting on Monday at 8 p.m. Meetings are held at Village Hall, located at 1 Columbus Drive. Stay with us for a look at what's on the agenda at the meeting.

• The Malverne Board of Education holds a meeting on Monday night at 8 p.m. Meeting are held in the Malverne HS library. 

• The Lynbrook Board of Education holds a meeting on Tuesday night, 7:30 p.m. at the high school. 

• The West Hempstead library hosts "Decorating for Fall" on Monday at 7 p.m. "Join Vivian Beechinor, next Monday, Oct. 7 as she teaches us how to decorate our homes for fall with fun, easy, and budget friendly ideas."

• This week is National Fire Prevention Week, an annual public awareness campaign to promote fire safety throughout the U.S. This year’s theme, “Prevent Kitchen Fires” focuses on educating the public on the importance of fire prevention in the kitchen and how to prevent cooking fires.
