Malverne Music Teacher Named LI School Hero

MALVERNE, NY — A music teacher from Malverne has been honored for his work in the community. Glen Johnson, of the Herber Middle School, was named a Long Island School Hero Award by the Long Island Coalition Against Bullying.

The award is given to educators who are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students.

The Malverne School District praised Johnson for a "focus on bringing out the best in our students, both as musicians and future role models."
