Malverne School Budget Vote Approved By Voters

The 2024-2025 budget passed by an overwhelming margin on Tuesday.

MALVERNE, NY — Voters approved the 2024-2025 budget Tuesday for the Malverne Union Free School District. It passed with 79.3 percent of residents voting yes (410), with 107 no votes.

The budget holds a two percent tax levy. Overall, the budget is $71,273,893, an increase of $2.5 million from the previous year.

Proposition #2 (Enhancing our facilities at no additional cost) passed with 84.9% voting yes (394).

The Board of Education saw Jeanne D'Esposito run unopposed and received 401 votes. There were 11 write-in votes.
