Malverne School District Hosting Relay for Life on May 3
Last year's event raised more than $32,000 for cancer research.

For the third consecutive year, the Malverne School District will be hosting a Relay for Life event.
This year's event is set for Friday, May 2, at 6 p.m.
The Relay for Life event features a survivors' dinner, a kick-off ceremony, an all-night walk-a-thon, live performances, food and the lighting of the luminarias, candelit bags bearing the names and faces of loved ones who have battled cancer.

Last spring, more than 500 people turned out for Malverne's Relay For Life event and raised more than $32,000. The goal is to continue to grow each year.
Residents can sign up for the event and donate at www.relayforlife.org/malverneny.
