Man Killed In Early Morning Hit-And-Run In West Hempstead: Police
A witness saw a man lying on the road and went over to help. A four-door sedan ran the man over and drove away, police say.
WEST HEMPSTEAD, NY — Nassau County police are investigating a hit-and-run that occurred in West Hempstead early Friday.
A witness saw a man lying in the westbound lane of Woodfield Road around 3:40 a.m. As the witness went over to help, a four-door sedan ran the man over and did not stop, police said.
The man died at the scene, police said. His name wasn't immediately released.
