Meet the Lynbrook Valedictorian, Salutatorian

Joshua Sarlo and Ryann Moelis topped Lynbrook's Class of 2015.

Ranking as the top two in their class, Lynbrook High School seniors Joshua Sarlo and Ryann Moelis have been named the Class of 2015 valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively.

Joshua is a member of the National Honor Society and took five Advanced Placement classes this year. He also belongs to the Toy Lending Club and plays ice hockey outside of school.

Ryann, who is currently president of the National Honor Society and editor-in-chief of Horizon, the school newspaper, also took five AP courses during her senior year. She has been a member of the newspaper staff, as well as the varsity tennis team, since her freshman year and is active in the Italian Club and Spanish Club. She plans to study public health at the University of Virginia.

“Being able to balance academics and athletics taught me to prioritize and manage my time,” Joshua said of his high school experience. Ryann reflected similarly, stating, “Doing so much in one day and being ready to do it again the next has prepared me well for college.”
