Nassau Car Wash Employee Fatally Struck by Customer's Car
The tragedy occurred Saturday morning, police say.
UPDATE: Police have identified the victim as 53-year-old Eduardo Sosa, of Elmont.
ELMONT, NY – An employee at a Nassau County car wash died Saturday morning after being struck by a customer's car, police said.
According to Nassau Police, a male driver pulled up to the rear entrance of Empire Car Wash located at 255 Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont shortly after 8 a.m.

When attempting to enter, the vehicle suddenly accelerated, striking a male employee against a wall. The employee was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. No criminality is believed to have been involved, police said.
The name of the man who was killed is being withheld pending family notifications. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
