Nassau Fight With Sharp Object Sends 2 Men To Hospital: Police
The men were each arrested and charged with assault, police said.

WEST HEMPSTEAD, NY — Two men were arrested and charged with an assault early Monday in West Hempstead, Nassau police say.
A person was stabbed in front of a Hempstead Avenue business just before 1 a.m., authorities said.
An investigation revealed that Anthony Grant, 33, of Queens, and Michael Laing, 32, of Queens, were involved in a verbal and physical altercation inside Boom V.I.P. Events, police said.

As the argument escalated, Grant struck Laing with a sharp object to the neck and torso. Laing responded by striking Grant in the left abdomen and buttocks with the same object, police said.
Grant and Laing were taken to nearby hospitals and placed into custody. They are both in stable condition.

They each face a count of second-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and one count of second-degree harassment.
Laing was scheduled to be arraigned on Monday, while Grant will be arraigned when medically practical.
