Patch AM Review: Local Businessman Creates Unique Beverage Niche

MALVERNE, NY — Steve Brosnihan is finding his own niche in the refreshment industry.
He founded Long Island Beverage Brokers, which will deliver beer and non-alcoholic options to customers across the island, and beyond.
But more than the convenience factor, Brosnihan is keeping it local.

"Nobody has a focus squarely on New York-made products," Brosnihan, a guest on Wednesday's "Patch AM," said. "We want to showcase what our area has."
Brosnihan, who grew up in Lake Grove and now lives in Malverne, got the idea after working in wine and spirits for a few decades.

Despite building a connection with global brands, Brosnihan didn't forget his roots.
"The quality of our local brands have just gotten better and better, whether it's wine, more distilleries or breweries opening up," he said.
While there is money for Brosnihan to make, he looks at the venture as a way to help "give them another avenue to be seen."
