Pizzeria Ordered To Pay $178,000 In OT Wages, Penalties: Report

The owner of Regina's Pizzeria in Lynbrook is accused failing to pay several workers overtime wages for more than two years.

LYNBROOK, NY — A Lynbrook pizzeria must pay back wages and other fees totaling more than $178,000. Nunzio DiLorenzo, owner of Regina's Pizzeria, is accused of failing to pay his workers for overtime, Newsday reports.

DiLorenzo is ordered by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York to pay $84,160 in owed salary and an additional $84,160 in damages, the article said.

There are 17 employees who will receive from $57 to more than $30,000, according to Newsday.

Court documents indicate Regina staffers typically logged more than 60 hours a week from Oct. 2016 to Dec. 2018. They got a fixed salary without overtime pay, Newsday said.
