Queens Man Stole SUV In Valley Stream Burglary: Police

He went inside the window of a business and swiped the key fob before taking off from the scene, Nassau police say.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — A Queens man was arrested Sunday in connection with stealing an SUV in a burglary in Valley Stream on two days prior, Nassau police said.

An unknown male went inside a side window of a business on West Merrick Road at around 10:35 p.m. on Friday, and took multiple key fobs before leaving, and then used a key fob to open the door of a 2024 Honda HR-V and sped away from the scene, according to police.

Damien Davis, 29, of Jamaica, was charged third-degree burglary and second, third, and fourth-degree grand larceny, as well as third-degree criminal mischief, police said.

He will be arraigned on Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.
