Smoke Fills Oceanside HS Auditorium

Firefighters took on a smoky auditorium Wednesday in Oceanside High School.

At 3:23 p.m., Oceanside Fire Department was alerted by an automatic alarm at the high school, fire officials said.

Work was being done on the high school roof before the alarm sounded, officials noted.

Salamander Truck Co. 1’s crew used hooks and a thermal imaging camera to find the source of the smoke.
