Top fundraisers for the Malverne School District’s third annual Relay for Life event, held in May, were recognized at the district’s June 11 Board of Education meeting.
Assistant Superintendent for District Operations Spiro Colaitis presented the honors to teachers and faculty members responsible for raising the most amount of money, as well as those who were integral in organizing the event.
This year’s top fundraiser was Downing teacher, Marguerite Robles.

In total this year, Relay for Life garnered more than $34,000 for the cause, which was supported by more than 500 participants.
