#2 Proposed Lynbrook Walgreens Shut Down by Village Board - Lynbrook Village Hall was packed with local residents for a public hearing this month on a proposed Walgreens, with many residents opposing the plan. The village board announced at the end of the hearing that they have denied

#1 Body Found at Hempstead Lake Park - A body was found floating by a fisherman at Hempstead Lake State Park earlier this month, and the body was later identified as a homeless woman who went missing in the same area on Father's Day.
