Lynbrook High School students Maria Alexa Mastropieri and Matthew Gordon Shearer were selected as two of 20 tri-state area recipients of the Italian American Committee on Education summer program in Narni, Italy.
Costs for the two-week program, including Italian courses, room and board, excursions, ground transportation and chaperone fees, were covered by the IACE.

Students were responsible only for their own airfare. After completing the program, they will be invited to an awards ceremony at the Consulate General of Italy in New York City, where diplomas will be distributed.
