Valley Stream 24 Students Celebrate Halloween with Trunk or Treat Events and Parades
Students at the Valley Stream 24 School District celebrated Halloween in style
Students at the Valley Stream 24 School District celebrated Halloween in style with festive and family friendly Trunk or Treat events hosted by each school’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA), as well as parades. The celebrations brought the community together for an afternoon filled with creativity, laughter, and Halloween spirit.
Families transformed their car trunks into imaginative displays, from favorite movie moments to cheerful fall designs, creating a colorful lineup that delighted students and families alike. Children made their way from car to car collecting treats, enjoying the excitement of trick or treating in a safe and welcoming school environment.
“The Trunk or Treat celebrations and the parades beautifully reflect our district motto, Make the Connection,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Unal Karakas. “Make the Connection is more than a phrase. It represents how we bring our schools, families, and community together to create meaningful experiences that build belonging, joy, and shared purpose across Valley Stream 24.”
