Valley Stream Man Posted Child Porn on Twitter: Police

A Valley Stream man faces child pornography charges, police said.

Matthew Kernis, 26, of Valley Stream, was arrested Thursday after local and federal agencies investigated child pornography images uploaded to a Twitter account during from March- May 2015, police said.

Detectives received information from the “National Center for Missing and Exploited Children” regarding the incriminating Twitter photos, police said.

Kerniss is charged with seven counts of promoting a sexual performance of a child and four counts of possessing a sexual performance of a child. He will be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Friday.
