Long Island Swim School is the teaching arm of the nationally ranked Long Island Aquatic Club. Our Learn to Swim programs create strong, safe, and confident swimmers for life. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The West Hempstead school board will be holding a joint meeting tonight with Board of Education Trustees from the Island Park school district. The meeting, which starts at 7 p.m. in , will include some student presentations. The only business item on the agenda is a discussion of whether West Hempstead and Island Park will renew their contract for 2013 to 2018. (As you know, right now Island Park eighth graders have the choice to attend West Hempstead High School or Long Beach High School since its home district does not have its own high school.) There is a chance that this discussion could lead the board members to go into executive session.
