Woman Found Dead With Multiple Stab Wounds In LI Basement: Police

HEMPSTEAD, NY — A woman was found dead, with multiple stab wounds, in the basement of a home in Hempstead Saturday night, police said.

According to Nassau County police, the homicide squad is investigating the incident; at 8:39 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call at a Botsford Street residence. Upon arrival, officers located the 29-year-old woman, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
