1 Dead, 3 Injured In Massapequa House Fire
Four men were hospitalized after a fire broke out in a group home, police said. One has since died.
UPDATE, 4:30 P.M.: Nassau County police say that one of the victims of the fire has died from his injuries.
Police say 54-year-old Salvatore Strano, who was rescued from the second floor of the home, died from his injuries at the hospital.
MASSAPEQUA, NY — Four people were injured in a fire at a group home in Massapequa on Jan. 2, Nassau County police said.

According to police, the fire started at the home on Camp Avenue at 6:05 a.m. All the residents of the home managed to get out except for a 54-year-old man who was on the second floor.
Massapequa Fire Department firefighters rescued the man from the home. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. A 64-year-old man was hospitalized for burns to his hands and face, and two 74-year-old men were also taken to the hospital.

The Nassau County Fire Marshal and the police Arson/Bomb Squad are investigating the fire.
