All Massapequa Schools to Open Friday

All schools in the Massapequa school district will be open Friday, officials have announced.

It will mark the first time since Hurricane Sandy hit the area that all buildings have reopened.

Massapequa schools were closed Thursday in the aftermath of the Nor'easter that struck the area. 

Prior to that the Birch Lane School had remained closed due to power issues. 

But officials announced Thursday afternoon that Birch Lane was finally up and operational.
