With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The main emphasis of our programs is to teach children to swim correctly and develop essential water skills in a relaxed environment. A burglar threw a piece of concrete through the front door of the Radio Shack on Carmans Road in Massapequa,police said. The burglary took place at 4:05 a.m. Saturday as the glass door was shattered and the thief or thieves took several iPhones and iPads. Police say that authorities are looking into whether the burglary is related to several other break-ins at electronics stores in the area, but haven't determined if the incident is a part of a pattern. Anyone with information about this break-in should call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
