End of the World Canceled: We don't normally report on canceled events in this space, but we have to admit we were somewhat heartened to see that event at the Bar Harbour Library billed as the "End of the World 12/21/12 Extravaganza" will not be taking place. In truth, the event would have featured an author who was going to dicuss the various theories surrounding the Mayan Apocalypse and why they likely won't happen. Whatever you believe, we hope you enjoy this Friday and many Fridays to come.
