Gone But Not Forgotten in Massapequa

If you take a trip down Merrick Road, Park Boulevard or Sunrise Highway and you'll find  a variety of pubs, eateries, pizzerias  and other places to dine.

Massapequa certainly has a variety of places to satisfy your appetite, but the death of a longtime restaurant owner this week got us to wondering what used to be.

Helen Hydrusko co-owned Dick and Dora's for more than 40 years with her husband. The restaurant no longer exists, but was part of Massapequa's culinary history for a long time.
