How to Help Victims in Massapequa
Here are some places you can donate. Let us know of any others.

It's been a rough few weeks, but for some in the Massapequa area it's been catastrophic.
We know there are many Patch users in and out of the Massapequa's who'd like to help. So we're going to let you know about some places you can go to donate to Hurricane Victims. But we'd like to hear about more. If you have information about Organizations seeking donations or volunteers for Massapequans in need, put it in the comment section. We'll check it out and add it to this story.
Here's a few efforts we know about so far:

YES Community Counseling Center
YES has teamed up with the Massapequa Federation of Teachers and Secretaries to set up Help Massapequa.org. They are asking for donations of money that will go directly to Residents of Massapequa and Massapequa Park. While YES is also taking some donations of goods, they must be new goods and those interested in making these types of donations should call YES at 516-799-3203 to make sure the items are needed. YES staff members loaded a truck for victims in the back of their building Friday.
